Abstract
The high incidence of androgenetic alopecia in men, although not having health consequences, can interfere with quality of life. There are several treatment approaches. In this case report we bring the case of a male patient submitted to micro-needling, growth factors and minoxidil. The aim of this paper was to report a case of male androgenetic alopecia treated with microagulch associated with drug delivery and topical minoxidil. Male, 44 years old, diagnosed with androgenetic alopecia of male pattern. He underwent 4 sessions of micro-needling with a Derma Roller System 1.5 mm roller with 540 needles, followed by the application of growth factors during the procedure and 5% minoxidil in daily use. Visually, the rarefaction area was decreased, the yarn density increased, new yarns appeared and higher tensile strength. In addition, the patient reported being satisfied with the results obtained. The therapeutic potential of microneeding associated with growth factors and minoxidil was observed. This feature may add to the therapeutic options of androgenetic alopecia.
