Penis bioplasty: case report

Abstract

The desire to enlarge the penis, especially the diameter, is a frequent request of the patient seeking care in the urologist's office. This aesthetic procedure was given the name of "Bioplasty of the penis". Today there are numerous absorbable and no absorbable products that are used to increase the diameter of the penis. To report the case of a patient, male, 42 years old, who sought care because he could not use a condom due to the diameter of the sexual organ, and who underwent "thickening" treatment using the penile bioplasty technique. The information was obtained through a review of the patient’s record, an interview with the patient, a photographic record of the procedure, and a literature review. 30 milliliters of 30% PMMA were implanted in the ventral penile region, and parallel to the urethra. Immediately after filling, the diameter increased by 4 cm from 9 to 13 cm. Two months after the procedure, and with the penis in erection, the final diameter remained at 13 cm. The case reported brings to light the discussion that 30mL of PMMA generates a satisfactory increase of the male sexual organ, which allowed the patient to use condoms and maintain sexual relations in the following 18 months, increasing his self-easteem.
