Abstract
Amyloidosis lichen is the most common form of localized primary cutaneous amyloidosis. It is characterized by hyperchromic or erythematous, keratotic papules that coalesce to form infiltrated plaques. They are usually numerous and are more frequently located on the legs, especially in their lower third. The objective is to present a case of lichen amyloidosis seen at the dermatology outpatient clinic of Faculdade BWS, with an atypical location and its therapeutic challenges. Female, 52 years old, with prolonged condition, undiagnosed, previously being treated for contact dermatitis. There was a significant improvement in itching with the use of clobetasol 0.05mg in rotational therapy, however, due to the maintenance of residual lesions, it was necessary to start phototherapy sessions. The present case report showed satisfactory clinical improvement aYer first-line treatment, but other adjuvant therapies were necessary.
