Abstract

Cutaneous lupus erythematosus is an autoimmune chronic inflammatory disease and discoid lesion is the most common clinical form of cutaneous lupus, frequently found on the face, scalp and ears. It affects any age group from 3 years of age but is infrequent in children with a predilection for the female sex. The objective of this study is to report a case of chronic cutaneous lupus erythematosus in a 6-year-old male, and infrequent chronic cutaneous lupus in this age group and in males, diagnosed in our service with the beginning of adequate treatment. The study case is about a 6-year-old male patient with skin lesions on the face and ears, it was performed a biopsy on the affected area (face) with anatopathological examination that favors the conclusion of the diagnostic hypothesis.
