Abstract

Introdução: A síndrome compartimental aguda é uma emergência médica que pode resultar em graves consequências físicas e psicológicas, sendo fundamental o diagnóstico precoce para evitá-la. O objetivo é desenvolver um mapa bibliográfico dos principais meios e critérios utilizados para sua identificação.

Objectives: This is a scoping review of which consists in exploring with broad extension and range the available findings and gaps in literature about how to achieve early diagnosis of compartment syndrome.

Method: This is a scoping review with a systematization of data accordingly to JBI. It was held research along the databases Scielo, PubMed, Cochrane and Google Scholar, without temporal restriction, in the languages of Portuguese, English and Spanish.

Results: After an analysis of the 33 selected articles, there can be observed a diversity of periodicals. In relation to the year of publication, there was found a higher number of published articles in the year of 2014, totaling five articles.

Conclusion: The evaluation of symptoms and the variation of intracompartmental pressure are fundamental elements for an early diagnosis of compartment syndrome.
