Abstract
Vaginal Candidiasis (CV) is described as a fungal infection of the vulvovaginal region with several predisposing factors, including intestinal dysbiosis (DI), characterized as an imbalance in the intestinal microbiota, causing systemic signs and symptoms. The case report aims to present other diagnoses of the clinical situation related to food, as there was no improvement with conventional treatment. Therefore, imaging tests such as Transvaginal Ultrasonography were used to detect possible abnormalities that could be related to CV.The procedure for performing the exam was due to signs and symptoms presented by the patient after recurrent episodes. Thus, the description of the case added to the complementary exams and treatments can provide references of the characteristics relevant to CV, in addition to seeking to contribute to the medical community with the possible aspects present in the patient to aid in the diagnosis.
