Abstract
There are cases in which alopecia is of genetic origin, such as androgenetic alopecia. Its diagnosis is made through the patient's clinic. There are several treatments available for AA, one of which is microneedling.Describe the microneedling technique for the treatment of androgenetic alopecia and its benefits.This is a bibliographic review. The search was carried out in the VHL, Medline and Lilacs database in December 2020 as inclusion criteria have a 10-year time frame articles in Portuguese and the exclusion criteria for articles that did not respond to the final objective of this study.As a result, the vast majority of articles (75%), from 2017 onwards show the topicality of the theme, in addition to new techniques that are always under development to improve the quality of life of patients through aesthetics.Microneedling is a technique performed in dermatology clinics that must be used respecting the patient's individuality. The dermatologist must then learn and study to provide the best treatment for his patients, thus improving the prognosis.
