Abstract
Psoriasis vulgaris is a chronic inflammatory disease, characterized by the appearance of erythematous-scaling lesions, preferably on the knees, elbows, scalp and genitals. Syphilis is an infectious and contagious disease, with sexual and vertical transmission during pregnancy, considered the “great imitator”. Objective: To report a case attended at the dermatology clinic with atypical psoriasis of atypical presentation associated with secondary syphilis. Materials, Subject and Methods: Information was obtained through medical record review, interview with patient and companion, photographic record and literature review. Conclusion: The patient shows significant improvement in the lesions after treating of pathologies, complaining only about post-inflammatory hypochromia. The patient is followed up on an outpatient basis. Always pay attencion to the possibility of overlap and/or association of diseases, especially in cases of atypical presentation.
