Abstract
Cimidiasis is a disease of worldwide interest, which has ceased to be related only in low health conditions and is now linked to the circulation of people around the world. Its vector is a bug that lives in cracks, mattresses and upholstery and because they are tiny, they go unnoticed and they take advantage of this to go to the surface just to obtain human blood. When pricking human skin, a reaction occurs that will vary in quantity and intensity, but which can have major repercussions on the person's skin, or even secondary infections in severe cases. Thus, this work aims to make a bibliographic survey about cimidiasis and its treatment. The methodology used for the construction of this plot is the literary review that was carried out in the online databases Scientific Electronic Library, Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences, Virtual Health Library, from the Ministry of Health, in the period from 2010 to 2020, using the following descriptors: Cimidiasis; Bedbugs; Bed bug dermatosis. A survey and description was made explaining the disease, its consequences and treatments. After the bibliographic survey, it was concluded that when identifying the lesions, one should immediately start treatment to avoid future complications and especially to eliminate exposure to the vector.
