Granuloma anular localizado

Abstract

Annular granuloma (GA) is a benign dermatosis, manifested by asymptomatic annular erythematous papules. The localized form mainly affects women and young people, being the most frequent subtype. This case report presents a case of located GA in an elderly hypertensive patient. Report case of located GA and literature review. Medical record review, interview with outpatient patient, photographic record and review in digital libraries. Male, 70 years old, with annular lesions with asymptomatic raised edges on the left upper limb. The diagnostic hypothesis of localized GA was confirmed by anatomopathological examination. The treatment was done with high-potency topical corticotherapy. Early diagnosis and treatment are essential so that the impairment of the patient's quality of life is minimized. More studies are still needed to better understand the etiopathogenesis and associated factors, a case of abandonment or suffering of patients with this pathology.
