Abstract
The ATC is a type of benign, non-scarring, asymptomatic, non-inflammatory baldness whose main damage is related to psychosocial factors being associated with depression and being a cause for concern because it is an unsightly sign. The general objective is to report a case of hair implant using the FUE surgical technique for ATC. The specific objectives are: Describe the case study; present the FUE technique and show the results of its application. In order to carry out the research, the case of a 21-year-old male patient with no comorbidities who presented ATC was described. The technique used was the FUE that proceeds with the extraction of hair follicles from a donor area to the recipient area. It is important to make a differential diagnosis and the use of dermatoscopy is recommended. The correct storage of the collected material is a critical success factor and the implant using the technique has important advantages, highlighting the absence of linear scars and postoperative recovery. In this case study, the results were satisfactory as they gave the implanted hair a natural appearance, generating a great aesthetic and functional effect.
