Ultrasonography in diagnoses of cutaneous injuries

Abstract

Ultrasound is a painless diagnostic imaging method that corroborates diagnostic and therapeutic conditions in dermatology. To set the importance is a non-invasive method for the diagnosis aid in lesion not visualized by direct means. MFNF, 60 years old, leucoderma, divorced from Minas Gerais, reports that for more than five years she has a nodular lesion in painless left gluteus, related to injectable medication. There were 25 days, started in pain in the region, type cast, without irradiation, not related to any other comorbidity or physical activities. Ultrasound examination of the lesion evidenced an irregular contour image, a discrete posterior acoustic reinforcement, without local fibrosis characteristics. We believe that a greater dissemination of this method will complete in dermatology, will be of great help for diagnoses, facilitating even the choice of the therapy to be applied.
